GETTING STARTED
Step 1
Whether you are giving yourself a treatment or supervising someone else, it's best to make sure that the room is softly lit and quiet, if possible. Switch off all televisions and music. This will enable the body and mind not to be distracted, ensuring the maximum benefit for the session. Refrain from reading a book or answering the 'phone. If you are receiving a treatment from a therapist and you are asked questions, it is permitted to reply; but, be aware that you should not engage in conversation.
Step 2
Choose carefully the appropriate colour you will need to achieve health and harmony from the list at the back of this booklet. It is generally best to treat only one condition at each session. However, if you have more than one condition you may decide to use the different colours relating to each of the conditions. However, use no more than three colours at any one sitting, and your treatment should not exceed a total of 30 minutes.
Completion
Once the treatment is finished, sit quietly for a few minutes to allow the body to fully absorb.
You may notice that in the section of each colour under ‘psychology’, that you relate strongly to one colour in particular. If this is so, the treatments listed under that colour may be particularly relevant. Note also that we all need a balance of every colour in the spectrum, and over identification with only one colour may indicate a need for changes in lifestyle to alleviate stress.
